First new baby on the farm this year, a 6 week old female Anatolian/ Great Pyrenees puppy. She is small and cute right now, probably less than 10#, but she will grow up to be our new guard dog for the sheep. Molly, our current guard dog, is getting up in years, so we decided to work on getting her replacement. A few weeks of talking to sheep farmers and searching Craigslist, and she is here. Price was great and so far so good. She was not happy to be taken away from her sisters at 6:00AM Monday, and cried all the way home (1 1/2 hours). We have given her the 1st set of shots and are in the process of changing her feed.
