Baby chicks move outside

Our 2 little chicks that hatched during the very cold weather have been living in a Rubbermaid tub in the laundry room.  They have been pretty content and growing well.  Today the sun was out and the temp was in the mid 60’s, so we decided that it was time for them to go live in the chicken house.

Imagine their surprise to the wide world.  There was so much to see and explore.  They stayed close together and the other hens left them alone.  There were frightened by a hawk in the afternoon, so they hid under the hen house.  Aaron had to rescue them.  At sundown they were huddled close to the hen house, but had ventured inside.  Again, Aaron helped them in and secured the door.

They grow up so fast…
