“Break Through- When to Give in, How to Push Back” by Tim Clinton and pat Spingle- book review
“The moment that changes Everything” is prominent on the cover on the new book about relationships by the counselors/ authors Dr. Tim Clinton and Pat Springle. This book is well researched and written to help anyone make that cherished relationship better. It is easy to read because the authors use stories about real people so it is very personal, rather than clinical.
The chapters are well organized and easy to locate a specific area, if you do not have the time or energy to read the whole book right away. Although, it is best to read in context so you really understand the author’s intent for mending relationships.
At the end of each chapter, there is a “Think about it…” section with review questions to promote discussion if used in a group setting, to help the reader understand the information presented in the chapter, or to challenge the reader to a deeper understanding of their key relationships. Also included are group study suggestions and format. The book ends with extensive footnotes to back up the author’s work or for further research.
Dr. Tim Clinton is the president of the American Association of Christian Counselors and founder of Light University Online, with over 16,000 students enrolled. Pat Springle is the Founder of Baxter Press and was on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ and has authored several books including “Codenendency.”
