“The Conviction to Lead” by Albert Mohler, book review

“The Conviction to Lead” by Albert Mohler, book review

Dr. Albert Mohler is the president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.  In this unique position, he not only leads the seminary faculty and students, but genuinely will influence the church leaders for decades to come.  He reveals 25 principles for leadership “that matters.”

Each chapter is easy to read and reveals one of the principles with many examples in history and personal experience.  There are quotes from great leaders and scripture verses referenced to give more depth and illustrate each principle.

While the book may be a bit much to absorb if read from cover to cover, there are a lot of ideas and suggestions that can be implemented into each leadership style and situation.  This book could easily be a text for a business or ministry course.  Would also make a great gift for your favorite up and coming leader.

The book is well written and edited.  There is just so much material presented that it is difficult to read quickly, but rather should be read slowly and absorbed through thought and prayer.

Disclaimer:  I received a copy of this book from the publisher, Bethany House.  All opinions expressed are my own.
