“The Skinny Budget Diet” by Linda Goff, book review

“The Skinny Budget Diet” by Linda Goff, Book Review

The author, Linda Goff, has written this book from her very personal experience of needing to lose weight to maintain her health. Though out the book she shares her very personal story with ideas and hints to begin or continue your own weight loss journey.

There are many good ideas and reviews of popular weight loss theories and programs, most of which I had heard of. She gives her own review of many and encourages the reader to chose a method that works for them. She includes many stories and honest mistakes she made along the way, as a way of helping the reader to avoid her errors. Many of the stories are quite funny, and she is good at poking fun at herself.

This book is a general weight loss book, not a step-by-step manual. It does not include menus or shopping lists. The author is sharing what worked for her and encouraging the reader to try it too. She uses very basic ideas of exercising more and eating less to lose excess weight.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from Chosen/ Siloam Publishers. All opinions expressed are my own.
