“Holy Land Moments Devotional” by Eckstein and Longman, book review

“Holy Land Moments Devotional” by Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein and Dr. Tremper Longman III, book review.

The Publishers of the One Year Bible has put together another wonderful One Year Devotional. This book has daily readings with passages from the New Living Translation, followed by 2 devotional thoughts. The first is from the Jewish perspective written by Rabbi Eckstein. This is followed by a Christian perspective by Dr. Longman. And the 7th day has questions for reflection of the week’s readings.

Each week has a central theme and some coordinate with the time of the year the passage would be read, if the book was started 1/1. But this book can be started any time and the readings would be relevant.

The book is an over sized paperback book, but would still be small enough to carry in a tote bag if needed for travel or commuting. Would be of great interest to those of Jewish heritage or just who have an interest in Jewish history.

Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher, Tyndale House. All opinions expressed are my own.
