“Dixie Belle” by Debby Mayne, book review

Cissy Hillwood really needs to leave her small Alabama town.  After the conviction of her boyfriend for domestic violence, she was shunned by the residents.  She takes this opportunity to work for her uncle in New York City.  Uncle Forest owns Zippers Plus, a wholesale sewing notions company and he offers her a sales position.

While Cissy adapts to the New York City life quickly, she is challenged by her relationship with Tom, the owner of Uncle Forest’s competitor.  She keeps this budding friendship a secret from her uncle, as there are bad feelings between them.

Tom is learning how to be a Christian at work as well as at church on the weekend.  He has recently come out of the Wall Street work force, which is very cut throat, and he has found it difficult to be a Christian, for fear of losing money or business.

This book was easy to read!  This book would be especially interesting for any one who has experience in sewing or sales.
