“fit for Your assignment” by Reina Olmeda, book review
Ms. Olmeda is the pastor of the Third Day Worship Center in Allenstown, Pennsylvania, along with her husband. She has a passion to see women rise up to their standard. This book is has a lot of personal experiences and stories to inspire women to awaken the passion to change habits and behaviors to be ready to walk in the fullness God has destined for her.
The book is divided into 4 sections, ending with a detailed 30 day challenge to change and start new habits. Part #1 “Are you fit for your assignment?” is the foundation, assessing where you are now. #2 “4 Principles to getting fit”, #3 “Finishing Well” and #4 the 30 day challenge.
I did not enjoy this book. It was filled with fluff and “sugary sweet”. While I am a Christian and take my faith seriously, this book was just over the top, for me. It might be easier to handle read in smaller portions, like reading each chapter over a week, and discussing during a women’s Bible Study group or Sunday School Class. Most of the challenges at the end were things we all know we should do, so with an accountability group could be quite affective.
