“Love Defined” by Elizabeth Maddrey

“Love Defined” by Elizabeth Maddrey, book review

Twin sisters June and July are both dealing with infertility issues, while balancing family and careers. And now both women have decisions to make. June and Toby get a call, “The Call” from the adoption agency, there is a baby girl for them to come to the hospital and pick up. They leave Easter dinner with the family on the table and go pick her up.

July has failed with IVF and now Gareth is ready to pursue adoption. But July is totally against it. They are at an impasse. And it is tax season, July’s busiest time of the year, working 15+ hours a day to get tax returns or extensions filed before 4/15. Garath seeks council from their pastor and begins to work through his anger and disappointment.

This is book #3 in the Remnants series which chronicles the path through infertility of 2 sisters. The author is open and honest about the feelings and issues of this often sensitive topic.

I enjoyed reading the book and learning about what many couples go through in the process of growing their family.

Disclaimer: I received a e-copy of the book from the publisher, HopeSprings Books. All opinions expressed are my own.
