“Price of Privilege” by Jessica Dotta, book review, #3 in series

This is the 3rd and final book in the series which chronicles Julia’s search for her birthright and her place in society.  She has escaped from the clutches of Mr. Macy, and married her true love, Edward.  But the struggles have only just begun.

Mr. Macy is so powerful that he controls all the authorities including the law and judges.  He also holds great influence in the newspapers, which can sway the tide of public opinion.  As Julia attempts to free herself from his power over her, she is in danger of destroying all that is dear to her.

This is a complicated story, which is difficult to understand (with or)  without reading the first 2 books in the series.  The plot is thick and the characters are complicated, as are alliances and allegiances.  But it is a well written series, just not for the faint of heart.

Disclaimer:  I received this book from the publisher, Tyndale House.  All opinions expressed are my own.
