“Whatever is lovely” Adult coloring book, book review

“Whatever is Lovely” A coloring book for reflections and worship.

As most children I learned to color. And I actually enjoyed coloring books, as they had the black line pictures already drawn and I just had to add color. As an adult, I have spent a fair amount of time coloring, because as a preschool Sunday School teacher, the children like to color. And I found that if I sit in the little chair at the short table and color, the children will talk to me. So week after week, I lower myself into a short chair (BTW I am 5’9″- so these chairs are really short for me) and pick up the crayons and color.

Now, I have a coloring book just for me! “Whatever is Lovely” is a coloring book just for me. It contains black line illustrations for Bible verses, songs and quotes designed to help me understand and reflect on God’s Word. And it is a lovely book! I am excited to get me colored pencils out and begin. I wish the pages were perforated, as I think I would tear some of them out and put on my bulletin board above my desk for further meditation.

This would be an excellent book to include for an older elementary student to take to church to keep her hands busy while listening to the sermon.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.
