“Grace and the Preacher” by Kim Vogel, book review
Her uncle is stepping down as pastor of the small town church. But before his last sermon, he chose his replacement from the Bible College graduates. And the new preacher is on the way. Grace has been corresponding with him for a few weeks, filling him in on details about their small town and people. But she has also fallen in love with the new single preacher, Ruffus.
Theo is just trying to keep his head low and stay out of trouble. Since that day 8 years ago when his cousins staged a robbery and coxed him into stealing the horses for a quick get away, his life has been difficult. Actually, the last 8 years have been better than his growing up years, because the cousins went to jail for the crime, but Theo was free, because he would not be apart of the scheme. Now, they were set to be released, so Theo knew it was time he head out of town. With the money he had saved by working in the livery the last 8 years, he bought a horse and headed out. Who he met along the way would completely change his life.
This story is a quaint love story between two young people just trying to find their way in the world. I really enjoyed the sweet story. Very refreshing and easy to read.
