“A Stranger at Fellsworth” by Sarah E. Ladd, book review

Following her father’s death, Annabelle faces an uncertain future.  Her brother controls everything about her life, until she leaves to take a teaching position.  Faced with the daily hardships of earning a living wage, Annabelle learns life lessons, sometimes the hard way.

Owen has two goals in mind- provide and protect his daughter and keep poachers at bay.  He works tirelessly at both of these.  During a chance encounter, he meets Annabelle.  This new friendship changes so much about his well ordered life.  As their friendship grows, many forces attempt to derail their budding love.

This is a wonderful romance with just enough mystery thrown in to keep the reader actively engaged.  The characters are well developed.  Overall, I enjoyed this book and look forward to another in this series.
