“Judah’s Scepter and the Sacred Stone” by D. A. Brittain, book review
Judah’s Scepter and the Sacred Stone” is a young adult historical Biblically based romance fiction book. There is a lot of time taken with the historical sections, so much so, that I often was bogged down in reading the book. At times it was hard to remember what the main characters were up to, do to all the historical and Biblical information. Please understand, I do feel these parts were important to the author and many readers, it just felt labored and kept the story from flowing, for me.
The book does have enough action and romance to appeal to a young adult reader, both males and females, and will definitely be a book that young adults who enjoy Biblical History will enjoy. I do suggest that this is for older teens, rather than younger ones, as the story is deep.
